DongKyu Choi is a Head of Naval & Energy System R&D Institute in DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd.). He got his Ph.D. and M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) in 1994 and 1989 respectively, and B.S. degree in Naval Architecture from Seoul National University in 1987. Dr. Choi has been involved in many novel and innovative R&D works in DSME from 2006 as an engineer or as a director. His works relating to LNG include sLNGc (Seal LNG Carrier: BOG accumulation in cargo tank in LNGC), HiVAR (fuel gas supply system with High pressure pump and Vaporizer) and PRS (Partial Re-liquefaction System) for ME-GI engine, MRS (Methane Refrigeration System) for X-DF and ME-GI engine and Re-gasification process in LNG FSRU.
